A los 15 años, Robert Pattinson comenzó a actuar en obras de teatro. Al poco tiempo, se unio al "Barnes Theatre Company" donde consiguió papeles en "Macbeth" y "Anything Goes and Tess of the D'Urbevilles". En el 2004, tomo roles en televisión, por ejemplo en "Ring of the Nibelugs (Kingdom of Twilight) interpretando a Giselher, y en "Vanity Fair" a Rawdy Crawley.
En el 2005 Robert consiguió el papel de Cedric Diggory en "Harry Potter and the globlet of fire" gracias al cual subió notablemente su fama.
Actualmente Pattinson se encuentra filmando "Twilight" (2008) y "Little Ashes" (2009).
